Golf Tournament

On Wednesday 4 September, golf enthusiasts are invited to take part in a competition at Visby Golf Club (Kronholmen). The course is designed to a high European standard and is considered one of the most beautiful in Sweden. In 2018, Golf Digest ranked Kronholmen second in Sweden and third in the Nordic Region.

The format will be Stableford, with prizes (sponsored by Com Advokatbyrå) for best lady and best gent. Depending on numbers, players can also represent their countries in an inter-Nordic team competition.

The green fee is SEK 790, paid individually on arrival at Visby Golf Club. The first tee-off is at 10:00. At the end of your round, a late lunch will be served (sponsored by IFPI).

Shared transport will be available between Clarion Hotel Visby and Visby Golf Club.

Attorney Peter Danowsky will guide proceedings for the day. He is also your contact should you have any questions regarding the golf tournament. Email: peter.danowsky@danowsky.se

Welcome Reception

Wednesday 4 September 19:00-21:00, Wisby Strand.

N.B. Unlike the symposium itself, at the welcome reception, there is an entrance from the seaside (i.e. not through the main entrance).

Everyone who has arrived in Visby by Wednesday evening is invited to an informal get-together. A meal and drinks will be served. An opportunity to meet copyright friends, old and new.

Symposium Dinner

Thursday, 5 September at 18:30, St. Nicolai Ruin, Smedjegatan 19.

St Nicolai is one of Visby's magnificant church ruins. During the twelfth century, St Nicolai was a base for the Dominican Order. In this fantastic setting we will enjoy an evening of food, wine and entertainment.

Bergman's Fårö – Treasure of European Film Culture
NB! NEW TIME

On Saturday 7 September an excursion is planned to ”Bergman's Fårö”, in cooperation with the Bergman Center on the island of Fårö.

Buses depart from Wisby Strand at 08:15. On arrival we will take a guided tour of the Bergman Center and then embark on a “safari” in Bergman's footsteps.

Persona, Shame, Through a Glass Darkly, Scenes from a Marriage, the documentaries Fårö Document and its follow-up Fårö Document 1979 were all filmed on Fårö. During the morning we will visit a selection of the legendary film locations and, with the help of our guide, place them in their cinematic context.

The excursion ends with a small lunch on Fårö, after which the bus will take us back to Visby.

Cost: 850 SEK per person.
